Katie is so excited to be teaching at Dance Dynamics! She is overjoyed to be back teaching at the studio where her love of dance grew into a lifetime passion. Katie graduated from Oklahoma City University and earned her Bachelor of Performing Arts in Dance Performance. She was a member of the American Spirit Dance Company under the direction of Jo Rowan and was a featured dance soloist and vocalist for the company. After graduation, Katie moved to New York City and completed the Broadway Dance Center Professional Semester where she trained with broadway choreographers, performers, and casting directors.
Katie's professional performing credits include Hairspray (LouAnn), Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (Alice), Newsies (dance captain), Chicago (June), and many other productions at Music Theatre Wichita; and Gypsy (Marjorie May) at The Muny starring Beth Leavel. Most recently, Katie traveled the country as the dance captain and swing on the first national tour of the broadway musical, Bandstand. She has been honored to work with Emmy Award winning choreographer Al Blackstone and Tony Award winning choreographer Andy Blankenbuehler, among many others.
Katie is beyond excited to be sharing her knowledge and passion with the incredible students at Dance Dynamics!
