​Tyra Smith started dancing at the young age of three in the Omaha area, and she started tumbling around the age of six. She attended regional dance competitions and conventions throughout the Midwest. After high school, she attended the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City where she earned an Associates in Dance Theatre. Since coming back home, she has performed in three shows at the Omaha Community Playhouse (Cabaret, Hello Dolly, and Jersey Boys).
