Vijay T. Olander is from Lincoln, Nebraska. He has expertise in Tap, Hip Hop, Break, Step, and Bollywood dancing. He began his dance training at the age of eight under the leadership of Bob and Stephanie Chase at Chase Dance. He has been teaching since 2009 and loves sharing his enthusiasm for dance. He also has experience choreographing/judging for college and high school dance teams, including the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Scarlets, the Creighton University Dance Team, and Pius X Thunderettes Dance Team. Vijay has received multiple choreography awards at local and regional dance competitions. He is the director of the all boys hip hop company called “B.O.Y.S.” (Bring Out Your Swag) in Lincoln, NE, and is also the co-founder of the all boys hip hop company called “Pra-DA-Geezzz” in Omaha, NE. Vijay currently serves as a board member on the “Nebraska for the Arts” and is an apprentice on the “M.A.D.D. (Making A Difference Dancing) Rhythms” tap dance company in Chicago, IL.
